Zhang Zhidong is also known as Tony Zhang.

For 16 years until his retirement in September 2014, Zhang was the chief technology officer at Chinese gaming and social media giant Tencent.

Tencent's portfolio includes messenger app WeChat, League of Legends game developer Riot Games, and minority stakes in Spotify and Snap Inc.
